Our Firewood

Most of our premium firewood is sustainably sourced from the northern NSW coastal region around Grafton, harvested with permission from the Forestry Corporation of NSW.

What makes our firewood different?

The timber we supply was once considered a by-product of the traditional timber industry. The long, straight logs are selected for construction and manufacturing, while the remaining hardwood — strong, dense and full of energy — was previously left unused.

Instead of letting this valuable resource go to waste, we recover and repurpose it into high-quality, cost-effective firewood designed to keep your home warm through the coldest months.

We supply sought-after NSW coastal hardwood varieties including:

• Blackbutt
• Stringybark
• Spotted Gum
• Flooded Gum

These are not soft, fast-burning timbers. They are dense Australian hardwoods known for their long burn time, strong heat output, and minimal ash production.

In fact, we burn the very same firewood in our own home. It produces consistent, powerful heat and leaves very little residue behind — meaning less cleaning, longer-lasting warmth, and better overall value for your money.

Eucalyptus camaldulensis, commonly known as Redgum.

Sourced from the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, this is the Rolls Royce of firewood.

Redgum has earned a well deserved reputation as long burning, low ash and good heat.

As often happens with high quality products, they can be expensive and difficult to source, however, we have a great supply of dry, seasoned Redgum at a great price.

Eucalyptus cladocalyx, commonly known as Sugargum.

We have been extremely lucky to have purchased a sizeable, purpose planted local plantation.


Sugargum is a great burning wood that is easy to start, and is fast getting a well deserved reputation as a great alternative to Redgum.

Cereal mulch is a type of organic mulch made from dried plant stalks left after crop harvesting, typically from cereal crops like corn, wheat, or other grains.
